I have disclosed a lot. Nothing left to hide. A lot of people knew I had a mental health diagnosis. The alcohol was not really a secret but I never used the word ‘alcoholic’.
I thought I might feel free, not having secrets, but right now I feel uneasy. I hope I did the right thing. I can’t take it back.

Personally, I think admitting and disclosing are the first step towards recovering from anything. They say “secrets make you sick” and I believe that wholeheartedly. I hope you find a suitable program. The steps are very rewarding, you should really give them a try.

Thank you. I have been enjoying the SMART groups, although there are few in person meetings. I am going to find out about some of the steps in a Schizophrenia Alliance program.
I do think that getting everything out will be good in the long run. I have had positive responses.
Thank you for responding 😀
